Yushin America has an immediate opening in Cranston, RI for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will have the responsibility to develop, design and coordinate the manufacturing of various engineered components and steel weldments for the proper deployment of industrial robots to be utilized in various plastic molding applications.
The position will work intensively with Solid Works mechanical design, Oracle, Bill of Materials, Routing, Work in Process and Order Management.
Responsibilities will also include the development and implementation of specialized options for use on Yushin’s standardized robots. These will include pneumatics, electrical and mechanical additions to enhance the performance of our industrial robotics to meet our customers’ expectations. This position has extensive communications with external and internal customers and requires coordination among various engineering and manufacturing departments.
Successful candidates will have a BS/AS in Mechanical Engineering; 4-6 years design experience required; extensive knowledge of Solid Works; machining and metal working background; knowledge of BOM, Routing, WIP and general manufacturing business systems activities; verbal, written and e-mail communication skills; and organization skills to coordinate communication and documentation from numerous sources.
