On August 14, 2026, the Skills for Rhode Island’s Future Graduation Celebration was held at Rhode Island College. During the ceremony, Yushin America was honored with the Superstar Award, presented by Nina Pande, Executive Director of Skills for Rhode Island’s Future.

PrepareRI is a statewide initiative dedicated to empowering Rhode Island’s youth to reach their full potential and build brighter futures by providing students with the skills, experiences, and opportunities needed to pursue high-growth, high-wage careers.

Since the launch of the PrepareRI Internship Program in 2018 by Skills for Rhode Island’s Future, with support from the Governor’s Workforce Board, Yushin America has proudly partnered with the program to provide high school students with meaningful, paid work experiences in manufacturing and other professional fields.

During the summer of 2026, Yushin America hosted six summer interns: four in Engineering, one in Marketing, and one supporting the Human Resources & Finance departments.

Through this partnership, Yushin America is helping bridge the gap between education and employment while giving students firsthand exposure to the manufacturing industry and the many career opportunities available to them. We are proud to support the development of Rhode Island’s future workforce and to play a role in helping young people confidently prepare for their careers.

As the students return to school to complete their senior year, they take with them a better understanding of the manufacturing world, valuable workplace experience, and new skills that can help guide their future career decisions.
