A 3-axis actuator system provides independently controlled motion along three orthogonal linear axes — X (traverse), Y (kick/horizontal reach), and Z (vertical). In the YD-0310 servo picker, all three axes are AC servo-driven, enabling precise 3-dimensional part extraction from sub-100-ton horizontal injection molding machines with a compact footprint.

The YD-0310's three axes are X (traverse), Y (kick, horizontal reach into the cavity), and Z (vertical lift). All three run on electric AC servo actuators with encoder feedback, offering superior positioning accuracy and repeatability compared to pneumatic sprue pickers like the HOP Five.

The YD-0310 3-axis linear actuator servo picker is designed for sub-100-ton horizontal injection molding machines, with clamping forces of approximately 30 to 100 tons. It is an ideal fit for small consumer parts, medical components, electronics housings, caps and closures, and micro-molding cells where a full-size YD take-out robot would be oversized.

Unlike pneumatic sprue pickers such as the HOP Five, the YD-0310 uses full 3-axis AC servo motion for programmable, repeatable part extraction — not just runner removal. It achieves sub-1-second take-out times, supports both part take-out and runner extraction, and is controller-compatible with the YD fleet, eliminating the need for operator retraining when upgrading.

The YD-0310 supports a typical payload of 1 to 3 kg, making it well-suited for small consumer goods, medical disposables, electronic connector housings, caps and closures, and micro-molded components. For heavier payloads or larger IMM tonnage ranges, Yushin offers the YD/YD2 standard take-out robot series starting from 5 kg payload.
