Articulated robots use rotary joints and are common in other manufacturing applications such as welding, assembly, and material handling. For standard injection molding take-out, Cartesian robots are often preferred because the motion path is linear and repeatable. Articulated robots may fit some secondary, assembly, or complex downstream applications.

For injection molding take-out, the extraction path is typically fixed and repeatable — the robot enters the mold in the same location every cycle, picks the part, and places it at the same downstream position. Cartesian architecture is well suited to this type of fixed-path motion, and Yushin's take-out robots are designed around the access, timing, and payload constraints specific to injection molding machines.

A servo wrist is appropriate when the application requires controlled rotational movement — for example, insert loading, overmolding, angled downstream release, or multi-position inspection. Yushin NC servo wrist units can add controlled orientation to suitable take-out robot configurations. Additional wrist axes add carried mass, so suitability requires application engineering review.

EOAT weight is part of the total payload and must be within the robot's rated capacity. EOAT geometry must fit the mold access envelope and match the cavity layout. The gripping or pickup method must suit the part material, geometry, and downstream handling requirements. EOAT should be specified together with the robot, not selected after the robot has been purchased.
